Green Restaurant Association (GRA) is a 22-year-old international, non-profit organization with the mission of creating environmental sustainability in the restaurant industry.

Position Overview:

The Communications Associate works with GRA?s restaurants and vendors to communicate their GRA Certification and environmental accomplishments to the media and public.? In addition, the Communications Associate?s responsibility is to garner traditional and social media for the Green Restaurant Association directly.

Responsibilities:

• Write, edit, and distribute press releases, newsletters, and articles
• Conceive and manage social media campaigns
• Manage GRA brand
• Track Media Coverage and perform interviews
• Attend restaurant trade shows
• Develop and implement green marketing and pr for restaurant and vendor clients via in-store signage, press releases, social media, etc.
• Represent the GRA to the general public
• Client Management

Qualifications:?

If You Meet the Following, then apply:

• 3 Years Experience with Marketing/PR
• Bachelors Degree
• Passionate about the Environment
• Very well spoken. When you speak, people listen.
• Great writer: strong grammar, spelling, create creative angles for press releases and articles
• Very organized
• People Person: Good phone personality and in-person presence
• Experience attracting significant media attention
• Knowledge of standard media protocols, eg. writing press releases, media outreach, list development, etc.
• Detailed writer that needs little to no editing
• Effective multi-tasking and time management as well as the ability to recognize and set priorities.
• Strong social media professional skills are necessary (Twitter, Facebook, mobile media)
• Proficiency in Word and Excel
• Ability to make compelling PowerPoint presentations
• Can do Domestic Travel

Will Give Preference to those that also have experience in:

• Graphic Arts (Adobe Indesign)
• Green Marketing
• Web Design
