Money troubles are something we can all identify with but almost no two people agree on how to spend or budget their money. When money is tight, marriage and relationships facing problems are almost overwhelmed with unfair odds. Too many times marriages fail due to squabbles over money or how to budget it.

It not easy to be married or in a long term relationship. Once the spark of newness dies off there is always that want of excitement that is often supplemented by other activities. It used to be typical, (stereo typical) shopping for women and football for men. However, nowadays things are changing and changing fast. One thing will always be the same though. Couples fighting over money will never change, whether we have a good or bad economy.

When your in a tight situation regarding your wallet you must be creative in order to have fun. No more jumping in the car and going for a long drive when gas prices are sky high. The movies are great treat but nowadays just plain too much money all around. If you get a decent ticket price then popcorn is ten dollars. These issues are a huge strain on marriages and relationships.

The younger couples are the less the chances of them staying together. If they begin arguing over money or what to do, all too often they just break up and move on. But what if you have a lot invested in the amount of time in your relationship or even worse, what if you are married?

Divorce is expensive and drawn out by lawyer proceedings and issues surrounding belongings gained while they were together. That is for those lucky enough not to of had children, otherwise the whole nightmare of custody issues comes into play. No one wants that, and for certain the children involved end up innocent bystanders with a host of problems growing up.

Marriage and relationships can get pretty complicated and with our economy not doing what it used to they are getting even more complicated by the hour. There will always be trouble when it comes to money and relationships. But divorce and breaking apart can sometimes be even more costly.

I tend to think that its worth it to stay together, especially when children are involved. You just have to be willing to put forth the extra effort. One thing is certain when the economy is rough people tend to raise prices including marriage counselors. Do your loved one and yourself a favor and try your hardest to stay together.
