Motion To Dismiss Cancer, a team lead by Roger Royse, Founder of Royse Law Firm in Palo Alto, was formed to raise money for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society in support of its work with blood cancer research. To this end, the team has successfully raised a substantial amount of money for LLS.
As part of its fundraising efforts, Motion to Dismiss Cancer will host ?SALSA: A Night to Benefit the Leukemia Lymphoma Society,? a one-night only event with 100% of the proceeds going towards blood cancer research and to fund programs for those currently battling Leukemia and Lymphoma. Attendees will get a chance to try their salsa moves to the pulsating music of guest DJs El Principe De La Salsa, Arturo De La Cruz, Eddie T, Tony Or, and DJ Mambo. In attendance to support the cause that evening is former Middleweight MMA Champion, Author and Showtime Commentator Frank Shamrock.
Mauro Ranallo, event host for the evening was voted the ?Best Sports Announcer for 2010? and ?the Voice of MMA? by industry media. Mauro can be heard on Showtime and as a TV and radio announcer with the Score sports network in Toronto where he hosts Canada?s first and most comprehensive Mixed Martial Arts program, ?The MMA Show with Mauro Ranallo.?
Additionally, there will be a special performance and half hour lessons for those who wish to brush up on their Salsa by dance gurus Rob and Letitia Capili. With more than 20 years combined experience, they have taught thousands of people from around the world to dance. They have been on stage with legendary acts such as Oscar De Leon, Celia Cruz, Fruko y Sus Tesos, and Sonora Carruseles, and have been featured on networks such as Univision and E! As the head instructors for Monterey Salsa, they continue to travel the world and share their love for dance.
Event is June 1, 2012 from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. at Club Axis, 2909 Lakeside Dr., Santa Clara, CA.
