Renaissance Charter School at University Names Founding Principal
Veteran Charter Schools USA principal to lead new school
Coral Springs, FLA (May 25, 2011) ? Robin Sandler, a Charter Schools USA (CSUSA) principal since 2006, has been named principal of the new Renaissance Charter School at University. A long-time principal, she led two high performing charter schools in Keys Gate and recently successfully launched Renaissance Charter Schools at Coral Springs. The new school is opening in the fall, and as founding principal, she will be responsible for all aspects of opening and running the school.
Sandler joined CSUSA in 2006 as principal of Keys Gate Charter School, and in 2010 became principal of Keys Gate Charter High School. Under her leadership, the school maintained an ?A? school grade for the past three years. She began her career as a special education teacher in the New York City Public School system. She moved on to administration as assistant principal, then principal in a Long Island school district. After five years in this position, she and her family moved to Florida to join CSUSA.
She holds a bachelor-of-science degree in elementary education, a master-of-science degree in special education, and certification in administration and supervision, all from the City University of New York.
?We are excited to have Ms. Sandler lead our new school as its founding principal,? said Sherry Hage, vice-president of education. ?Her track record with our company is clearly one that will benefit the University students and their families as we undertake the opening of the new school.?
