Records are being set on the second full day of competition at the 2012 Summer Games in London.
American swimmer Dana Vollmer won the 100 butterfly gold medal in world record time, while South Korea took gold in women's team archery for seventh straight time.
Cameron van der Burgh of South Africa captured Olympic gold in the 100 breaststroke in world record time and Kim Rhode won women's skeet gold to become the first American with an individual medal in five straight Olympics.
